"Campfire ABA is an unusual name"
"I've heard that before. I was inspired to choose the name for two reasons. The easy explanation, people sit around campfires and connect - hence our tag like 'let's connect.' The other reason I chose the name is a bit deeper. I was sitting out by a campfire with my youngest son (Rory). Rory has level 3 autism. As the smoke passed back and forth between the two of us, I noticed how sometimes I could see him so clearly. At other times, his face was greatly obscured. I was struck by the simile. My sweet child is at times so open, and at other times feels unreachable. The name isn't meant to conjure up feelings of sadness, but rather to acknowledge the situation for what it is. The name accepts and celebrates the journey we are on together."
Campfire ABA was founded by Veronica McNeal in 2023, and relocated to Asheville in 2025. Veronica is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a licensed behavior analyst and holds a Masters Degree in Education. Veronica has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for over 20 years. She possesses extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan, and in varied populations. Her preferred area of focus is functional communication development based off of B.F. Skinner's Analysis of Verbal Behavior.
Veronica combines a love for her profession with a love for her child to offer a unique service to the Asheville community. As a company, Campfire ABA strives to provide quality, personalized services to our local community over focusing on expansion and profit.
